Mother- Entrepreneur – Realtor- Passionate Speaker -Author
  Norma Garcia was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. She a 38 year old proud single mother of her son Samuel, age 14yrs. Norma Garcia has been a Realtor since 1999. She is currently the owner of Realty Executives River City in the Northwest side of San Antonio, TX.

  Norma Garcia became a donor mom, after losing her daughter on August 11, 2001 in a car accident. Ms. Garcia made educating the public about Organ and Tissue donation her new journey and passion in life. Since then, Garcia has volunteered at several events. She has served on the National Donor Memorial Advisory Committee for UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing). She assisted in the design of the memorial in Richmond, VA. honoring American donor families.

  She has spoken alongside distinguished guests as Mr.Kenneth P. Moritsugu, M.D.M.P.H Deputy Surgeon General, Mr. Richard DeVos, co-founder of Amway Corporation, Chair for UNOS National Speaker and owner of the NBA Orlando Magic, and Mr. Reg Green, author of the Nicholas Effect.

  In 2003 she and her family represented San Antonio, TX at the National Kidney Foundation Olympic Games at Disney World Florida.  And in 2004, Ms. Garcia was invited to be keynote speaker at a fundraiser given by Mr. Rich Devos in his home of Palm Springs Florida to benefit the National Donor Memorial.

  Ms. Garcia also serves her community locally as a volunteer & speaker for TOSA (Texas Organ Sharing Alliance in San Antonio, TX). Garcia has shared her compelling story of the gift of life to an overwhelming number of audiences. Norma Garcia has made an enormous contribution with her story to the medical community, bringing encouragement and a new sense of passion to the Best Practices classes on Organ and Tissue Donation staff in local hospitals. She has spoken before Doctors, Surgeons, Nurses and staff of Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, University Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX and surrounding areas including Kerrville, Seguin, New Braunfels, Fredericksburg and Jourdanton, TX. And being a guest speaker to the military community in Lackland Air Force Base.

  Her speaking engagements have included being part of local Tree Planting Ceremonies and Lone Star Circle of Life Tour 2006 presented by the Blood And Tissue Center and sponsored The Cavender Family. Her story of hope has also reached out to the local Real Estate Community.

  Ms. Garcia has been educating and reaching out to the Latino Community by being interviewed on channel 41 by Amparo Ortiz and being featured On several occasions by Monica Navarro UNIVISON Channel 41. By sharing her story of courage and encouraging the Latino Community to become involved in Organ and Tissue donation. Ms. Garcia Also served on the Run/Walk Community for TOSA and Vital Alliance and has been featured on San Antonio Living with Leslie Bohl Jones, and Great Day SA with Christina Guerrero.

  Articles on Ms Garcia have been featured on San Antonio, Express News, Connexion and La Prensa Newspaper. Norma Garcia believe is “You don’t only save one life you save an entire generation.”
Ms. Garcia also speaks to High Schools students the importance of being educated on the need of Organ and Tissue donation in their community and throughout the nation.
